Hey Matteo, thanks a lot for your kind words.

I'd just like to point out the following sentence:

"So I started following their footsteps, but with poor results: the lack of relevant experience and an unfortunate work situation made me start to feel inadequate to this milestone."

I can only speak for myself when saying that I feel the same as you when I compare myself to the people you mentioned within my name.

When I see people like Luca Mezzalira, Fabio Biondi, Matteo Collina, Salvatore Sanfilippo (and many others!), I still feel pretty irrelevant in the Italian developer community.

I feel like I have a lot of work to do to be like them. But this motivates me a lot; knowing there's something more to do is like my inner engine, my main motivation for going on with my work and open source projects.

I do celebrate their success, read their blog posts, and see their interviews. At the same time, I do my best to grow and help other people to achieve their results, via blog posts, talks, and so on.

Fact is: sometimes I feel inadequate. Sometimes I feel like I will never reach certain levels. But there are people like you who make me think that I'm on the right path.

So don't worry, I bet that there are people who believe in you as much as you believe in other developers.

You're doing great. Let 2021 be the year you reach your milestones.
